RESUMO

Phellinus linteus, a rare medicinal fungus, displays strong antitumor and anti-inflammatory activities because of its active metabolites, particularly polysaccharides. We investigated effects of P. linteus acidic polysaccharide (PLAP) on amelioration of dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis (UC) in a mouse model, and associated mechanisms. PLAP treatment alleviated major UC symptoms (weight loss, reduced food intake, increased disease activity index), and ameliorated histopathological colon tissue damage, reduced levels of pro-inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1ß), enhanced anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 level, reduced levels of oxidative stress-related enzymes iNOS and MPO, and enhanced expression of tight junction proteins (ZO-1, occludin, claudin-1). qPCR analysis revealed that PLAP downregulated phosphorylation levels of p65 and p38 and transcriptional level of TLR-4. High-throughput sequencing showed that PLAP restored gut microbiota diversity and species abundances in the UC model, and gas chromatographic analysis showed that it increased levels of beneficial short-chain fatty acids. Our findings indicate that PLAP has strong potential for development as an anti-UC agent based on its reduction of inflammation and oxidative stress levels, modulation of gut microbiota composition, and promotion of normal intestinal barrier function.

Transformations between dimethylmercury (DMHg) and other mercury (Hg) species have been one of the critical knowledge gaps in the Hg global biogeochemical cycle due to the lack of detailed studies. The preparation and measurement of DMHg are challenging due to the high toxicity and volatility of DMHg. In this work, we invented a new DMHg generator for successfully preparing high-purity DMHg in a highly controllable and safe way. The DMHg could be spontaneously volatilized and diffused from the original preparation solution to the solution to be studied. The parameters for generating DMHg were optimized to be the pH value of 4.0 with a MeCo/Hg2+ molar ratio of 10 at 20 °C. The following measurement method of DMHg in the presence of various species of Hg was also investigated and optimized. Hg0 and DMHg could be separated effectively with the carrier gas flow rate of 15 mL min-1 and the gas chromatography column temperature of 30 °C. The interferences of Hg0, monomethylmercury and other species were excluded by systematic control experiments. A sensitive and reliable approach for quantifying trace DMHg in water was developed. Under the optimal conditions, the limits of detection for Hg0, MMHg and DMHg were 0.03, 0.002 and 0.024 ng L-1, respectively, with the relative standard deviation below 8.2%. The developed method was validated by the determination Hg species of different natural water samples. This work is expected to provide a new and safe strategy for DMHg preparation and a verified method for DMHg measurement.

The purpose of this study is to compare the incidence of anastomotic leakage or stenosis, anastomotic bleeding, anastomosis time, postoperative exhaust time, pneumonia, gastroesophageal reflux, hospitalization and mental state after laparoscopic radical gastrectomy, so as to provide a reliable basis for the safety selection of the 2 clinical anastomosis methods and postoperative care. This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 160 gastric cancer patients treated by our medical team from February 2021 to December 2021. We divided them into side-to-side anastomosis with linear stapler (linear stapler) and end-to-side anastomosis with circular stapler (circular stapler), analyzed the incidence and clinical efficacy of anastomotic complications after laparoscopic radical total gastrectomy. There was a statistically significant difference between linear stapler and the circular stapler in the incidence of anastomotic complications such as the incidence of anastomotic stenosis; The incidence of anastomotic leakage, incidence of anastomotic bleeding, without statistical significant; At the anastomosis time, time of first postoperative discharge, incidence of pneumonia, length of hospital stay, without statistical significant; The incidence of gastroesophageal reflux without statistical significant; The Anxiety Self-rating Scale score, depression self-rating scale score points, the linear stapler was significantly lower than the postoperative circular stapler. The study showed that the anastomotic complications (absolute odds ratio of 1.08; 95% CI 1.02-1.15). This 2 protocol can be used safely and effectively common methods for gastric cancer. The linear stapler after laparoscopic radical total gastrectomy was better than the circular stapler, and was better than the circular stapler in terms of postoperative exhaust time, the incidence of pneumonia and the hospital time. However, the anastomosis time was longer than that of the circular stapler, and fees are also relatively expensive.

BACKGROUND: To present a novel endoscopy-assisted surgical strategy of Sylvian arachnoid cysts (ACs). CASE PRESENTATION: Endoscopy-assisted surgery was performed on 9 children (May 2019-December 2021). All patients were evaluated with CT and/or MRI and had regular follow-up examinations. The procedure consisted of performing a small temporal craniotomy (2 cm) behind the hairline. After dural opening, the surgery was performed with the assistance of a rigid 30-degree transcranial endoscope, self-irrigating bipolar forceps, and other standard endoscopic instruments. Steps included total excision of the AC outer wall and dissection of arachnoid adhesion around the cystic edge to communicate the residual cyst cavity with subdural space. Compared with the microscopical procedure, a 30-degree transcranial endoscope provides a wider view, especially for the lateral part exposure of the outer wall. The average age of the patients was 27.7 months (range 13-44 months). The Sylvian AC was in the right hemisphere in three patients and six in the left, respectively. 1 patient suffered transient postoperative epilepsy. There was no mortality or additional postoperative neurological deficit in this series. All of the patients achieved significant clinical improvement after surgery. Radiological examination after the operation showed a significant reduction in all cases (100%, 9/9) and disappearance in one case (11.1%, 1/9). Postoperative subdural fluid collection occurred in six cases and completely resolved spontaneously in 9 months. CONCLUSION: The study demonstrated the minimally invasive, safety, and effectivity of the endoscopy-assisted purely total outer wall excision.

BACKGROUND: Autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) astrocytopathy is a novel autoimmune disease of central nervous system (CNS). It is unclear whether Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is related to autoimmune GFAP astrocytopathy. OBJECTIVE: To describe the clinical, laboratory, and imaging characteristics of patients with autoimmune GFAP astrocytopathy. METHODS: The clinical, laboratory, and imaging findings of patients are presented. The levels of GFAP in CSF were detected by ELISA. T and B cell subsets in CSF were detected by flow cytometry. GFAP-IgG in serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were tested by cell-based assay (CBA) and tissue-based assay (TBA). RESULTS: All three patients had fever, cognitive dysfunction, limb weakness, and positive GFAP-IgG with EBV infection in CSF. Enteric glia cells may involve in this disease. Typical imaging findings include the gadolinium enhancement of linear perivascular radial perpendicular to the ventricle, meningeal enhancement (especially in midbrain interpeduncal fossa), longitudinally extensive lesions involving spindle cords, and more T2/Flair-hyperintense lesions in the periventricular white matter at late stage. The patients had poor response to antiviral treatment and strong response to steroid pulse therapy. CONCLUSION: EBV could induce CNS autoimmune response in autoimmune GFAP astrocytopathy. The detection of GFAP-IgG and EBV may facilitate the early diagnosis in these patients.

Intestinal duplication is a rare congenital malformation that can occur in any segment of the digestive tract. It is most commonly found in the ileum of infants and is rarely reported in adults, especially in the colon. Diagnosing intestinal duplication can be extremely challenging due to its diverse clinical manifestations and complex anatomical structure. Surgical intervention is currently considered the mainstay of treatment. In this report, we presented a case of giant duplication of the transverse colon in an adult.

Background: The Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI), a composite score of multiple dietary antioxidants (including vitamin A, C, and E, selenium, zinc, and carotenoids), represents an individual's comprehensive dietary antioxidant intake profile. CDAI was developed based on its combined effect on pro-inflammatory markers Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) and anti-inflammatory effects of Interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß), which are associated with many health outcomes, including depression, all-cause mortality, colorectal cancer, etc. Handgrip strength is used as a simple measure of muscle strength, not only is it highly correlated with overall muscle strength, but also serves as a diagnostic tool for many adverse health outcomes, including sarcopenia and frailty syndromes. Purpose: The association between CDAI and Handgrip strength (HGS) is currently unclear. This study investigated the association between CDAI (including its components) and HGS in 6,019 American adults. Method: The research data were selected from the 2011-2014 National Health and Nutrition Survey (NHANES), and a total of 6,019 American adults were screened and included. A weighted generalized linear regression model was used to evaluate CDAI (including its components) and HGS. Results: (1) CDAI was significantly positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.009, 0.005∼0.013, P < 0.001), and the trend test showed that compared with the lowest quartile of CDAI, the highest quartile of CDAI was positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.084, 0.042∼0.126, P = 0.002) and significant in trend test (P for trend < 0.0100). Gender subgroup analysis showed that male CDAI was significantly positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.015, 0.007∼0.023, P = 0.002), and the trend test showed that compared with the lowest quartile of CDAI, the highest quartile of CDAI was positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.131, 0.049∼0.213, P = 0.006) and the trend test was significant (P for trend < 0.0100). There was no correlation between female CDAI and HGS, and the trend test was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). (2) The intake of dietary vitamin E, Zinc and Selenium showed a significant positive correlation with HGS (ß = 0.004, 0.002∼0.007, P = 0.006; ß = 0.007, 0.004∼0.009, P < 0.001; ß = 0.001, 0.001∼0.001, P < 0.001), vitamin A, vitamin C and carotenoid were significantly associated with HGS in the Crude Model, but this significant association disappeared in the complete model with the increase of control variables. Gender subgroup analysis showed that in model 3, male dietary intake levels of vitamin E, Zinc, and Selenium were significantly positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.005, 0.002∼0.009, P = 0.011; ß = 0.007, 0.004∼0.011, P = 0.001; ß = 0.001, 0.001∼0.001, P = 0.004), the rest of the indicators had no significant correlation with HGS. Among the female subjects, dietary zinc intake was significantly positively correlated with HGS (ß = 0.005, 0.001∼0.008, P = 0.008), and there was no significant correlation between other indicators and HGS (P > 0.05). Conclusion: There was an association between the CDAI and HGS, but there was a gender difference, and there was an association between the CDAI and HGS in male, but the association was not significant in female. Intake of the dietary antioxidants vitamin E, selenium, and zinc was associated with HGS in male, but only zinc was associated with HGS among dietary antioxidants in female.

Craniopharyngioma (CP) is a histologically benign tumor with high mortality and morbidity. Although surgical treatment is essential in managing CP, the best surgical approach is debated. A retrospective cohort of 117 patients with adult-onset CP (AOCP) treated between 2018 and 2020 in Beijing Tiantan Hospital was identified and examined. The effects of traditional craniotomy (TC) and endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery (EETS) on the extent of surgical resection, hypothalamic involvement (HI), postoperative endocrine function, and postoperative weight were compared in the cohort. The cohort comprised 43 males and 74 females, divided into the TC (n = 59) and EETS (n = 58) groups. The EETS group possessed a higher rate of gross total resection (GTR) (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 4.08, p = 0.029) and improved HI (aOR = 2.58, p = 0.041) than the TC group. Worse postoperative HI was only observed in the TC group (5 patients). The EETS was associated with fewer adverse hormonal outcomes, including posterior pituitary dysfunction (aOR = 0.386, p = 0.040) and hypopituitarism (aOR = 0.384, p = 0.031). Additionally, multivariate logistic regression analysis confirmed that EETS was related to fewer cases of weight gain >5% (aOR = 0.376, p = 0.034), significant weight change (aOR = 0.379, p = 0.022), and postoperative obesity (aOR = 0.259, p = 0.032). Compared to TC, EETS shows advantages in accomplishing GTR, hypothalamus protection, postoperative endocrine function reservation, and postoperative weight control. These data suggest that the EETS deserves more application in managing patients with AOCP.

Ethylene glycol and ferric chloride pretreatment assisted by low-pressure carbon dioxide (1 MPa CO2) realized the targeted deconstruction of lignocelluloses at 170 °C for 5 min, achieving 98 % cellulose recovery with removal of 92 % lignin and 90 % hemicellulose. After the pretreatment, the formation of stable platform mono-phenol components would be with the destruction of the lignin-carbohydrate complexes structure, and the surface of rice straw became rough, with a less negative charge and higher specific surface area, while the enzyme adsorption rate increased by 8.1 times. Furthermore, the glucose yield of pretreated straw was remarkably increased by 5.6 times that of the untreated straw, reaching 91 % after hydrolyzed for 48 h. With Tween 80 added in concentrated solid (12 %) hydrolysis at low cellulase loading (3 FPU/g dry substrate), half of the hydrolysis time was shortened than that without Tween 80, with 45 % higher glucose yield.

An hourglass-mimicking biosensor was developed to detect target bacteria in 15 mL centrifugal tube using immune magnetic nanobeads to isolate the target from large-volume sample, gold@platinum nanozymes to label the target for amplification of biological signals, and a microplate reader/colorimetric card for determination of the target. First, a centrifugal tube with an iron ball framework was first coaxially assembled in the center of a Halbach ring magnet. After immune magnetic nanobeads, gold@platinum nanozymes and bacterial sample were mixed by repeated bottom-up of the tube using a stepper motor, nanobead-bacteria-nanozyme complexes were formed. Then, colorless H2O2-TMB was catalyzed by the nanozymes to produce blue TMBox. The color change was finally analyzed using the microplate reader or colorimetric card to determine bacterial concentration. This hourglass-mimicking biosensor could separate ∼95% targets from 10 mL bacteria sample and detect targets from 1.6 × 101 to 1.6 × 106 CFU/mL in 1.0 h with low detection limit of 16 CFU/mL.

Natural biomass is used for facile synthesis of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) with high fluorescence, owing to its abundance, low cost, and eco-friendliness. In this study, a bottom-up hydrothermal method was used to prepare CQDs from water hyacinth (wh) at a constant temperature of 180 °C for 12 h. The synthesized wh-CQDs had uniform size, amorphous graphite structure, high water solubility (containing multiple hydroxyl and carboxyl groups on the surface), excitation light-dependent characteristics, and high photostability. The results showed that the aqueous solution of CQDs could detect Fe3+ rapidly, sensitively, and highly selectively with a detection limit of 0.084 µM in the linear range of 0-330 µM, which is much lower than the detection limit of 0.77 µM specified by the World Health Organization. More importantly, because the wh-CQDs were synthesized without any additives, they exhibited low toxicity to Klebsiella sp. cells even at high concentrations. Moreover, wh-CQDs emitted bright blue fluorescence in Klebsiella sp. cells, indicating its strong penetrating ability. Correspondingly, the fluorescent cell sorting results also revealed that the proportion of cell internalization reached 41.78%. In this study, wh-CQDs derived from natural biomass were used as high-performance fluorescent probes for Fe3+ detection and Klebsiella sp. imaging. This study is expected to have great significance for the application of biomass carbon spots in the field of cellular imaging and biology.

Magnetic resonance acoustic radiation force imaging (MR-ARFI) is a promising tool for transcranial neurosurgery planning and monitoring. However, the ultrasound dose during ARFI is quite high due to the high intensity required and the repetitive ultrasound sonication. To reduce the ultrasound deposition and prevent unwanted neurological effects, undersampling in k-space data acquisition is adopted in the current study. Three reconstruction methods, keyhole, k-space hybrid and temporal differences (TED) compressed sensing, the latter two of which were initially proposed for MR thermometry, were applied to the in vivo transcranial focus localization based on MR-ARFI data in a retrospective way. The accuracies of the three methods were compared with the results from the fully sampled data as reference. The results showed that the keyhole method tended to smooth the displacement map and underestimate the peak displacement. The K-space hybrid method was better at recovering the displacement map and was robust to the undersampling pattern, while the TED method was more time efficient under a higher image resolution. For an image of a lower resolution, the K-space hybrid and TED methods were comparable in terms of accuracy when a high undersampling rate was applied. The results reported here facilitate the choice of appropriate undersampled reconstruction methods in transcranial focal localization based on MR-ARFI.

Fluorescent nanoparticles (NPs) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics hold remarkable potential for image-guided phototherapy. The molecular packing is the key point for optimizing the performance of AIE luminogens (AIEgens) in the aggregated or solid state. However, so far, the packing mode of AIEgens in NPs is still vague, causing some challenges for understanding the relationship between the photophysical property and packing mode, as well as further optimizing the performance of NPs for biomedical applications. In this contribution, by simply controlling the length of alkoxy chains in the donor-acceptor conjugated OPTPA, a packing balance between the twisted molecular structure and effective π-conjugation is actualized. Subsequently, the possibility of amorphous-crystalline transition of AIEgens in the polymer-encapsulated NPs is presented for the first time, and the comprehensive performance of NPs is further optimized. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments indicate that crystalline AIEgen-based NPs are remarkably effective in trimodal imaging-guided synergistic phototherapy.

Phototheranostics represents a promising direction for modern precision medicine, which has recently received considerable attention for cancer research. The ingenious integration of all phototheranostic modalities in a single molecule with precise spatial colocalization is a tremendously challenging task, which mainly arises from the complexity of molecular design and energy dissipation. Reports on a single molecular one-for-all theranostic agent are still very rare. Herein, we designed two novel aggregation-induced emission (AIE)-active fluorogens (AIEgens, named DPMD and TPMD) with a cross-shaped donor-acceptor structure via a facile synthetic method and constructed versatile nanoparticles (NPs) by encapsulating AIEgen with an amphiphilic polymer. The AIEgen TPMD with a twisted structure, high donor-acceptor (D-A) strength, small singlet-triplet energy gap, and abundant intramolecular rotators and vibrators was selected as an ideal candidate for balancing and utilizing the radiative and nonradiative energy dissipations. Notably, TPMD NPs simultaneously possess adequate near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence emission at 821 nm for fluorescence imaging, effective reactive oxygen species generation for photodynamic therapy (PDT), and outstanding photothermal effect for photoacoustic imaging, photothermal imaging, and photothermal therapy (PTT), which demonstrates the superior potential of AIE NPs in multimodal imaging-guided synergistic PDT/PTT therapy.

BACKGROUND: Cervical cancer (CC) is a major malignancy affecting women worldwide, with limited treatment options for patients with advanced disease. The aim of this study was to identify novel prognostic biomarkers for CC. METHODS: RNA-Seq data from four Gene Expression Omnibus datasets (GSE5787, GSE6791, GSE26511, and GSE63514) were used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between CC and normal cervical tissues. Functional and enrichment analyses of the DEGs were performed using the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins (STRING) database and the Database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery (DAVID). The Oncomine database, Cytoscape software, and Kaplan-Meier survival analyses were used for in-depth screening of hub DEGs. The Cox regression was then used to develop a prognostic signature, which was in turn used to create a nomogram. RESULTS: A total of 207 DEGs were identified in the tissue samples, eight of which were prognostically significant in terms of overall survival (OS). Thereafter, a novel four-gene signature consisting of DSG2, MMP1, SPP1, and MCM2 was developed and validated using stepwise Cox analysis. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) values were 0.785, 0.609, and 0.686 in the training, verification, and combination groups, respectively. The protein expression levels of the four genes were well validated by the western blotting. Moreover, the nomogram analysis showed that a combination of this four-gene signature plus lymph node metastasis (LNM) status effectively predicted the 1- and 3-year OS probabilities of CC patients with accuracies of 69.01% and 83.93%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: We developed a four-gene signature that can accurately predict the prognosis in terms of OS, of CC patients, and could be a valuable tool for designing treatment strategies.

BACKGROUND: Increasing numbers of studies have demonstrated that circulating tumor cells (CTCs) undergo a phenotypic change termed epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and researchers have proposed that EMT might provide CTCs with increased potential to survive in the different microenvironments encountered during metastasis through various ways, such as by increasing cell survival and early colonization. However, the exact role of EMT in CTCs remains unclear. METHODS: In this study, we identified CTCs of 41 patients with gastric cancer using Cyttel-CTC and im-FISH (immune-fluorescence in situ hybridization) methods, and tested the expression of EMT markers and ULBP1 (a major member of the NKG2D-natural killer [NK] group 2 member D-ligand family) on CTCs. Moreover, we investigated the relationship between the expression of EMT markers and ULBP1 on CTCs and gastric cancer cell lines. RESULTS: Our results showed that the CTCs of gastric cancer patients exhibited three EMT marker subtypes, and that the expression of ULBP1 was significantly lower on mesenchymal phenotypic CTCs (M+ CTCs) than on epithelial phenotypic CTCs (E+ CTCs). EMT induced by TGF-ß in vitro produced a similar phenomenon, and we therefore proposed that EMT might be involved in the immune evasion of CTCs from NK cells by altering the expression of ULBP1. CONCLUSIONS: Our study indicated that EMT might play a vital role in the immune invasion of CTCs by regulating the expression of ULBP1 on CTCs. These findings could provide potential strategies for targeting the immune evasion capacity of CTCs.

Direct injection of chondrocytes in a minimally invasive way has been regarded as the significantly potential treatment for cartilage repair due to their ability to fill various irregular chondral defects. However, the low cell retention and survival after injection still limited their application in clinical transformation. Herein, we present chondrocyte-laden microspheres as cell carriers based on a double-network hydrogel by the combination of the chitosan and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA). The microfluidic technique was applied to prepare size-controllable chitosan/PEGDA hydrogel microspheres (CP-MSs) via the water-in-oil approach after photo-crosslinking and physical-crosslinking. The chondrocytes were laden on CP-MSs, which showed good cell viability and proliferation after long-term cell cultivation. The in vitro investigation further demonstrated that chondrocyte-laden CP-MSs were injectable and the cell viability was still high after injection. In particular, these cell-laden microspheres were self-assembled into a 3D cartilage-like scaffold by a bottom-up strategy based on cell-cell interconnectivity, which suggested that these injectable chondrocyte-laden microspheres showed potential applications as chondrocyte carriers for bottom-to-up cartilage tissue engineering.

SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors) complex formation is necessary for intracellular membrane fusion and thus has a key role in processes such as secretion. However, little is known about the regulatory factors that bind to Qa-SNAREs, which are also known as syntaxins (SYPs) in plants. Here, we characterized Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) Tomosyn protein (AtTMS) and demonstrated that it is a conserved regulator of SYPs in plants. AtTMS binds strongly via its R-SNARE motif-containing C terminus to the Qa domain of PM-resident, pollen-expressed SYP1s (SYP111, SYP124, SYP125, SYP131, and SYP132), which were narrowed down from 12 SYPs. AtTMS is highly expressed in pollen from the bicellular stage onwards, and overexpression of AtTMS under the control of the UBIQUITIN10, MSP1, or LAT52 promoter all resulted in defective pollen after the microspore stage in which secretion was inhibited, leading to the failure of intine deposition and cell plate formation during pollen mitosis I. In tobacco (Nicotiana benthamiana) leaf epidermal cells, overexpression of AtTMS inhibited the secretion of secreted GFP. The defects were rescued by mCherry-tagged SYP124, SYP125, SYP131, or SYP132. In vivo, SYP132 partially rescued the pMSP1:AtTMS phenotype. In addition, AtTMS, lacking a transmembrane domain, was recruited to the plasma membrane by SYP124, SYP125, SYP131, and SYP132 and competed with Vesicle-Associated Membrane Protein721/722 for binding to, for example, SYP132. Together, our results demonstrated that AtTMS might serve as a negative regulator of secretion, whereby active secretion might be fine-tuned during pollen development.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have shown considerable prospects for sensing pesticide residues. However, the low stability of MOFs in water hinders them from testing food and environmental samples. Herein, we report an easy and cost-efficient synthesis of a water-stable zirconium luminescent MOF (Zr-LMOF) and its application for rapid, sensitive, and in situ detection of organophosphorous pesticides (OPPs). The Zr-MOF is prepared using Zr(IV) and 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene. The synthesized Zr-LMOF rapidly absorbs trace amounts of OPP parathion-methyl and indicates its presence. A low limit of detection of 0.115 µg kg-1 (0.438 nM) with a wide linear range from 70 µg kg-1 to 5.0 mg kg-1 was achieved. Satisfactory recoveries ranging from 78% to 107% were obtained for spiked food and environmental samples. Further, the Zr-LMOF was applied to imitate rapid and in situ imaging detection of pesticide residue on fresh produce nondestructively; visual signals appeared under ultraviolet light within 5 min. These results suggest that the Zr-LMOF has the potential for low-cost, rapid, and in situ imaging detection of OPPs contamination via easy-to-read visual signal.
